Obstacles spawn strictly on beat in this VHS-glitch lane runner, locked to the eighth-notes of a generated 128 BPM synth track that builds a new layer every bar — kick, hi-hat, snare, bassline, arp, pad, perc fill, overdrive. Dodge left, right or jump to the pulse: missing the rhythm gets you hit, grazing obstacles on the beat chains a near-miss combo. Everything is rendered through chromatic aberration, rolling tape-warp bands and scanline hum, complete with a REC timer HUD, as if the whole run were a worn VHS tape.
How to play
Press Space (or click / tap) to load the tape and start running.
Arrow Left / Arrow Right switch lanes to dodge spike blocks and two-lane walls.
Arrow Up jumps over spike blocks — time it to the beat for a PERFECT; Arrow Down fast-drops out of a jump.
Stay grounded to run under the overhead bars; jumping into one gets you hit.
Every survived bar scores +100, every near-miss builds your combo, and every 8 bars banks an extra tape (life).
Lose all tapes and the machine ejects — Space rewinds for another take. P or Escape pauses.
