Tug Chess is chess with a beef: every capture is settled by an arm-wrestle. Each piece carries STR and PWR stats, and when you take an enemy piece the board flips into a propaganda-poster tug-of-war where you mash keys against the Automat's stamina — win and the victim is dragged off the board and entered in the move ledger. Checkmate still wins outright, so the classic game is intact; muscle just decides the raids. Red, black and cream constructivist geometrics with a spinning sunburst behind every brawl.
How to play
Click (or tap) one of your red pieces, then click the destination square to move it.
Any move onto an enemy piece starts a CAPTURE CONTEST: a tug-of-war overlay with a rope knot and a timer.
Alternate the F and J keys as fast as you can — same key twice in a row costs you ground (on touch, tap the left and right halves of the screen instead).
Stronger attacker (STR vs the defender's PWR) pulls further per press; lose the tug and your attacker retreats, forfeiting the turn.
Pull the knot past YOUR LINE before the 8.5-second timer drains and the capture lands: the enemy piece is dragged off the board and the take is logged in the ledger on the right.
P or Esc pauses; Enter or a click starts the match and rematches.
