Red-light-green-light in a rain-slick cathedral plaza: the gargoyles bolted to the parapet sweep amber cones of gaze across the flagstones, and your only defence is to stop being flesh. Hold Space and the hooded figure walks; let go and you turn to stone where you stand — frozen mid-step is perfectly safe, moving is petrification. Cross to the arched door of the bell tower and the bell rings for the next chapter, where one more gargoyle wakes and the scan runs faster. Moonlit greyscale gothic carving, wet-stone speculars, drifting motes in the light: one colour in the whole plaza, and it is the colour that can kill you.
How to play
Hold Space (or Arrow Right / D / W / Arrow Up) to walk; release to freeze and become stone. On touch, hold anywhere on the screen.
Press Space or click on the title card to begin, and again to try again after a run ends.
Standing still inside a gaze cone is safe — the HUD warns FROZEN. HOLD STILL. Moving inside one builds up petrification and you shatter.
Goal: reach the bell tower door at the right edge of the plaza. Each chapter clears the timer, wakes another gargoyle (up to six) and speeds the scan.
You have three gargoyle-stone lives; shattering three times ends the run and reports how far into the chapter you walked. P or Esc pauses.
