A sumi-e maze on rice paper, and the panel is unlit: it stays blank until you paint it. You are the brush, and every step lays permanent ink, so the corridors reveal themselves exactly where you have walked. But wet ink is a scent — a black brush-Stalker sniffs out your freshest trail and comes hunting, so a safe route is a planned one: lay ink, let it dry, and double back carefully. Close the panel by reaching the vermilion seal before it takes all three of your brushes.
How to play
Arrow keys or WASD step the brush through the maze; on phones, swipe or use the on-screen pad.
Every corridor you walk stays drawn — the map is your own ink trail.
The compass in the corner points at the vermilion seal; standing near it, the seal bleeds red through the paper.
A Stalker catch costs one brush (three total) and dumps you back down your dried trail; losing the last one ends the run.
Press Enter, Space, or tap to begin, and P or Esc to pause. Closing a panel scores on time, strokes, brushes left, and panel number, then the next, larger panel begins.
The Stalker follows the strongest scent: freshly inked cells. Wet ink takes well over ten seconds to dry out, so linger too long or double back over your fresh trail and it closes the gap.
