What it does
Six tools, one pipeline
upload_video, upload_status, list_channels, list_videos, update_video and set_thumbnail drive the whole publish flow from any MCP client.
Background uploads with receipts
upload_video returns a job handle right away. Poll upload_status for state, bytes sent, video id, watch URL and per-step warnings.
Headless for cron
youtube-creator-mcp publish runs the same pipeline without an MCP client and exits zero when the video reaches published.
Honest safety hints
Tools carry read-only and destructive annotations, uploads assert channel membership before and after, and tokens live in the OS keyring or a 0600 file with a loud warning.
